I like going straight to the point. Here are the reasons I believe everyone should have multiple income sources.
1. Prevalent Economic Issues
Irrespective of the country you are at, one thing we can all admit that is going on in our world today is constant economic crises, inflation, high unemployment rate, recession, etc. This means that having money is not even everything, because the value of the money you have may just keep depreciating.2. Growing Financial Needs
Life is progressive, or should be by default. We keep growing, from one level to another. Once we were babies being fed by our parents, but soon we become young adults trying to stand on our own. Then we grow to become parents our self. So are our need for money and the things we need it for grow. Sometimes they grow faster than our ability to fill those needs.3. Money For Emergencies
While working with someone some time ago, we traveled for an event and ran out of money while still there, at the hotel where we lodged. He didn't know such expenses would arise, moreover, those who were supposed to cover the costs of our stay were not responding well. We were just deliberating on how to sort things out and possible ways of getting money, when an alert came into his phone. It was a life-saver. And guess where it came from? A referral bonus from a particular platform he was in. It was then I really knew the advantage of having a multiple source of income. Because I had stuck to the normal way of working to earn salary at the end of the month.4. Relieve Stress And Get Comfort
We all can make do with a little bit of more comfort. And if not for us, well, for those we care about. Truth be told, we are always stressed up when we run low on money. But you can avoid that when you begin to think of several ways to get in income.5. Give And Bless Other Lives
For some of us, we desire to give to others, bless the people
around us and help make their lives better, but we can’t because we can hardly
get anything for ourselves. This is an opportunity to become a blessing. So if
you think you don’t need anything extra, think of all the ways you can help
other people if you get it anyway.
6. Reach For Your Dreams
Like me, I know many people have dreams they keep wishing
they can achieve. If only I can get money to buy that camera. If only I can get
money to start that business. If only I can get money to take that
training/course. Etc. With multiple income sources, you start out on the
journey to achieving those dreams. You can also save some time by working part
time, instead of full time, since you have other ways of making money.
